Kruse later contacted Jonas via Facebook after anonymity ended. Jonas now studies dentistry and has a healthy life while his family pursues healthcare careers.

Wisconsin man indicted in Iowa for sexual exploitation of a minor
Carson Tyler Sibley of La Crosse Wisconsin was indicted in federal court on charges including sexual exploitation of a child travel for illicit sexual conduct and enticement of a minor. He allegedly traveled to Grundy County Iowa to meet a boy under 16 for sexual acts to produce sexual material. He is a registered sex offender and faces up to life if convicted.

Man accused of killing Iowa City taxi driver jailed in murder case
Curtis C. Jones 41 of Mount Pleasant moved to Johnson County Jail after being charged with first degree murder in the death of Ricky Lillie 46 a Yellow Cab driver. Jones identified as a person of interest earlier entered Lillie’s cab around 11 p m June 27. Lillie found dead June 28. Jones had prior charges for theft of a car in Keota and was seen on video leaving a stolen vehicle in Burlington. Lillie family expressed relief at the arrest and planned to attend upcoming court dates.

Iowa City Police Sponsor Ragbrai Ride for Youths
The Gazette reports Iowa City Police Department will sponsor a one day Ragbrai ride and overnight camping for seven youths and three adult chaperones from Charles City to Cresco. The program is part of Neighborhood Center of Johnson County's Youth Off-Road Riders Cycling program with coaching and camaraderie. Riders meet Cresco campsite July 27 at Harvest Farm Campground and return July 28.
