Covington Recovers a Year After Tornado Rips Through
Covington marked one year since a 110 to 130 mph tornado tore through the village near Palo. Most homes and trees were damaged yet few injuries occurred as residents rebuilt and shared support, turning the town closer together amid open country. Community well water and informal law enforcement remain notable features as Covington heals.
