Coralville City Council approves arena district rezoning and bonds
The July 10 2018 Coralville council meeting included approval of a General Obligation Urban Renewal loan not to exceed 35 million for arena projects, rezoning Lots 1-4 Iowa River Landing to CPUD 2, and a series of related site plans. Public comment praised affordable housing efforts as plans for Southeast Commercial District move forward with seven concepts. The session also covered consent items, building credit card payments with a 3 percent fee for large charges, and multiple infrastructure and grant resolutions including I-80 1st Avenue interchange BUILD grant, drainage modeling, storm water management, and public hearings on zoning and urban renewal amendments.
