Forensic tests cast doubt on Shroud of Turin authenticity
A high tech study using Bloodstain Pattern Analysis on the Shroud of Turin suggests the blood flows do not match crucifixion wounds. Using a volunteer and a mannequin, researchers found rivulets inconsistent with the shroud’s high resolution images, reinforcing doubts about its authenticity despite prior carbon dating and Vatican caution.

Johnson pleads guilty to weapon charge in self defense case
Johnson decided earlier this month to take a plea deal and gave up his request for immunity. He pleaded guilty to carrying a weapon an aggravated misdemeanor within city limits without a permit. He faces a $625 fine and up to two years in jail. Slaughter said video evidence shows Johnson first to raise a gun but immunity was denied because of lack of clear pretrial procedure. Bruns dismissed the charges Wednesday.
