Supervisors uphold 70 year retirement rule for county workers
The Linn County Board of Supervisors moved toward mandatory retirement at age 70 for county employees. They rejected Pete Todd's request to remain as executive secretary of the Commission for Veterans Affairs through year end. Todd will turn 70 in August. The board will have him work as a part time consultant through September to train a successor. They plan to advertise the vacancy with veteran status preferred but not required.
