Housing Survey Opened In Ames For Cedar Rapids Plan
The federal resettlement division has opened a local office on the first floor of the Chamber of Commerce to conduct a housing survey. Led by C E Stephenson of the state planning board, the Ames-based team under E A Benham will work three days a week for six weeks. The survey targets laboring areas to assess need for a resettlement plan with acreages from one to ten, offered with 30 year amortized homes at 3 percent interest, for citizens with children or young married couples without children. If data supports action, Ames employees will compile results to decide on local government steps.
