Iowa authority cuts Oak Hill funds for Cedar Rapids project
The Iowa Housing Finance Authority approved 140 500 for the Oak Hill urban revitalization effort in Cedar Rapids far less than the 250 000 requested. The shortfall may fund four homes instead of eight. Des Moines and Sioux City received the largest shares as protests grew over earlier allocations. The agency plans to consider raising income and purchase limits for mortgage programs and to issue up to 250 million in revenue bonds.
