Flight School Summer Program keeps Cedar Rapids students learning
About 170 students attend the College Community School District flight school summer session from July 12 to 30 at Prairie Hill. The 12 day program, funded with 100000 from federal relief funds, aims to prevent summer learning loss by reading math and writing through four day weeks with free meals and transportation. Davina Dickens enjoys flight simulator activities and plans to start fourth grade ready to learn.
