Marion voters to decide use of site levy funds for interior school projects
Marion Independent voters on Sept. 9 will consider using site levy funds, already collected, to renovate interior high school facilities and athletic fields. The $119,000 request would enlarge the auditorium stage, add a projection booth, install theater seating, and improve stadium lighting while shifting lights to the baseball and softball diamonds. Total project cost is about $35,000 with no tax increase. The district also plans YMCA joint-use talks and adjusts staffing, including resignations and leave actions.
