Half a Million In Jewels Taken in Corpus Christi
Jewelry valued at about half a million dollars was stolen from oil man Arnold Morgan Mon day as his family was away. A wall safe containing a diamond necklace over 100000 dollars was removed, and the burglars smashed a sliding glass door to enter between 2 and 3 a.m. The safe was pried from a concrete base behind a bedroom wall and hauled off in one of the Morgans cars, later found under a bridge a mile west of Corpus Christi.
