Nine tornadoes hit Iowa Friday from Linn to Dubuque
Grace Nieland reports from The Gazette that at least nine tornadoes touched down across central and eastern Iowa Friday during severe storms. The strongest EF2 tornado near Alburnett produced 120 mph winds, damaged a home and utilities along a 6.8 mile path, and the system yielded several other strong twisters in Linn, Jones, Jackson and Dubuque counties with no reported injuries as of Monday afternoon.
