Water board denies two water main proposals in Marion
The Marion Water Board rejected two requests for water main extensions, citing boundary confusion with Cedar Rapids and Linn County. Proctor seeks service to Lindale Manor Mobile Home Park and Meier wants, across from the Big Yellow House on Northland Avenue, a 1000 foot extension for a car wash. The board urged Cedar Rapids to extend lines, approved a $6,866 bid for Seventh Street main replacement, and endorsed moving the old downtown water tower site to a public parking lot and small playground as part of phase two redevelopment.
