Services Friday at Janeba-Kuba funeral home and All Saints Church with burial at Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Parish Rosary Thursday evening.
Dr. Paul O. Heitzman, 57, of 2618 Second Avenue SE, died Wednesday after a long illness. Born August 24, 1912, in Fort Madison, he practiced medicine in Burlington before World War II and in Cedar Rapids for 24 years afterward. Surviving: wife Jean, daughters Mrs. James O’Neill and Janice Lynn, sons Donald P. and Keith Alan, mother Salome, two brothers, and one grandson. Funeral services at St Matthew’s Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m.
Janet Lee Williams of Cedar Rapids died Tuesday aged 77. Born September 1, 1947 she was a former Collins Radio Co. employee and Buffalo United Methodist church member. Survived by three daughters Tracy Ann Michelle Lee and Danielle Darlene Williams all at home mother and stepfather Reede and (illegible) Thompson Cedar Rapids father William McGrew Phoenix brother John McGrew Gilbertville sister Joyce Ann McGrew Phoenix.
The obituary lists Mrs Dennis Nold of Cedar Rapids and Mr and Mrs Clarence McGrew of Springville as grandparents. Memorial services will be held at Turner Chapel East at 10 30 a m Friday with Rev Wilbert Trusheim officiating. Friends may call at Turner East until 10 a m Friday. The casket will not be opened after the service.
Harry Eugene Hepker 59 of 1429 Sixth Avenue SE Cedar Rapids died Tuesday after a short illness. Born in Lafayette August 25 1910 he lived in Cedar Rapids since 1945 worked 29 years with Allis Chalmers and Harnischfeger Corp. He was WWII veteran and UAW local 1316 member. Surviving wife Helen Trokosh three daughters Donna Jean and Nancy Hepker Steven Miller Alexandria Louisiana and others. Memorial service Friday 1 30 p m Janeba Kuba funeral home with burial at Czech National. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Glenn C. Cheadle a lifelong Cedar Rapids area resident died Wednesday after a brief illness in a local hospital. Born August 5 1897 in Marion he was a retired Railway Express agent and a member of Marion Lodge No 6 AF and AM. Surviving are a daughter a sister and three grandchildren. The service at East Chapel Friday at 1 30 p.m. with Rev Gilbert M Field and Marion Lodge No 6. Friends may visit until 1 00 p.m. Friday. casket will not be opened after the service. Master Masons of Marion Lodge No 6 are to meet at 12 30 p.m. Friday at the hall in Marion.
