Two Robbery Suspects Dead After Battle
Two Minneapolis robbery suspects died from wounds after a shootout with the Grantsburg sheriff's force near Danbury Wisconsin. Charles Richardson alias Manning and Lawrence Clark alias Carter were killed after their car fled a trap and opened fire. Authorities said the pair robbed box cars and stores in the area and were linked to Webster and Centuria incidents. Richardson, 39, had prior burglary and robbery terms. Clark, 35, was wanted in Minneapolis for a child assault. Both had homes in Minneapolis and were associated with creamery robberies in Minnesota last spring. The women found at a cabin northeast of Danbury were held as material witnesses.
