James seriously weighing run for Iowa's 2nd District seat
Iowa state Rep. Lindsay James, a Dubuque Democrat, says she is seriously considering launching a campaign to challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson in northeast Iowa's 2nd Congressional District. James, first elected to the Iowa House in 2018, praised her track record and cited health care and safety net concerns under the federal bill. She joins a field with Kevin Techau suspending his bid, leaving Democrats seeking a candidate for 2026.
