Cedar River Trail Pipe Leak Fixed No Harmed Aquatic Life
A Quaker Oats waste water line leak near the Cedar River Trail in Cedar Rapids was repaired by 9 p.m. Monday. About 500 gallons spilled, largely into Cedar Lake, but Iowa DNR officials found no ill effects on aquatic life. The 4 inch pipe, six years old, runs to the city water plant. a storm drain over the line caused a finger-size hole after a rock wore through. Repair halted trail work and reopened the path.

City considers parking limits near Tuma Soccer Complex
