Pasker Soldier Killed in Afghan Attack Near Return Date
Sgt 1st Class Terryl L. Pasker, 39, of Cedar Rapids, died at a security checkpoint in Afghanistan. The Iowa National Guard said an Afghan security officer opened fire. A U S contractor in the same vehicle was also killed. Master Sgt. Todd Kipperle of Marshalltown led the vehicle in front. Pasker was weeks from returning home to Iowa.
