The Diocese of Dallas will pay 23.4 million dollars to nine former altar boys who allege molestation by priest Rudolph Kos, now serving a life sentence. The accord ends the trial phase and requires reforms to reduce abuse risk, with earlier settlements bringing total nine-figure compensation.
Lyons police say 24 year old Robert Gordon, a sitter who lived with the Parker family, shot 4 year old Michael Parker Jr and 8 year old Nicole Parker then died by suicide. The mother and other relatives found them and Gordon’s body was later located at a relative’s home in Cicero. Michael died at Loyola University Medical Center Maywood. Nicole remained in critical condition. Detectives seek motive.
