Country Painters paint en plein air around Cedar Rapids

A Cedar Rapids group of women called the Country Painters gather every Thursday to paint outdoors at local spots. Originating in 1977 after an art center class, the group now includes up to 12 members who critique each other at lunch, exhibit in shows, and emphasize safety and camaraderie. They vary in medium and subjects, often creating distinct works from the same location.
