Teen driver in Clinton Fourth of July parade faces court
A Fulton Illinois teenager accused of drunk driving during Clinton Riverboat Days parade will appear in Whiteside County juvenile court on July 20. He allegedly sped through the parade route, led police on a chase, and a pedestrian sustained minor injuries.

Stacey Kusel 34 of Elberon died after a trench cave-in buried him to the waist while workers prepared a water and sewer line at Lewis and Third in Mount Auburn. Linn County Medical Examiner Dr. Don Linder cited renal artery rupture from pressurized soil and body weight as the cause. Kusel was flown to St Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids where he died.
