Ex-W Waterloo man indicted in Tyson murder case
Eddie Jones of Waterloo identified by Iowa authorities as the 13th accused in the Gary Tyson prison killing at Fort Madison. Jones was captured in San Diego where he faced a $250000 bond. he had been released Sept 23 1981 after serving multiple offenses. Tyson died after an 18 hour prison uprising that caused over $1 million in damage.
