Independent District Judge Roger F. Peterson in Waterloo set July 21 for a pre trial conference for two Buchanan county law enforcement officers facing manslaughter charges over the April 16 shooting death of Donald Mayner, 19, of Winthrop. Former Winthrop officer Philip Adreon and Deputy Dwight Guenther Jr have pled innocent. Guenther’s trial is set for 9:30 a.m. August 9. Adreon has no trial date yet. The July 21 hearing at 1:30 p.m. will be in Black Hawk county courthouse chamber.

IPALCO Sees High Cost Despite Full Summer Power

Man Sentenced In Fatal Reckless Driving Incident

MUSCATINE AP The Rock Island Line would drop its opposition to the reconstruction of lock and dam 26 at Alton Illinois if barge companies agree to pay user fees to finance the project.
