Amtrak derailment near Elmira leaves unknown cause
At least 81 injured as the Empire Builder derailed near Elmira Idaho after moving 70 mph. 248 passengers and 19 crew were aboard. six coaches and two locomotives left the tracks. Investigators from Amtrak Burlington Northern and the NTSB rushed to the scene while hospitals treated many with non life threatening injuries.
