Her daughter Myrtle Latimer 55 confessed to hiding the body to keep pension checks and led investigators to a trunk with remains. A man identified as Ray Crocker of St. Louis is suspected as a nephew. Latimer questioned by federal agents.
Emma L Nixon Moon widow of Dr. A C Moon died after a year illness at 1924 First Ave E Cedar Rapids. Born Feb 8 1860 in Iowa City she married Dr. Moon Sept 24 1884. Survived by children Harriet Moon and Dr B J Moon two grandchildren Charles Nixon brother. Funeral Monday 2 pm Donohue Iowa City with burial in Oakland Town City.

A dynamite blast ripped the Capital coal mine shaft in Springfield injuring no one and triggering a renewed conflict between United Mine Workers and Progressive Miners.
