Midway Open Delayed Frustrates Exposition Booth Operators
Several booth operators in the Exhibition Hall complained they had not been informed the midway would delay opening. William Hungerford, at an overhead garage door booth, would have arrived later if warned. The Emmonses and carnival manager Buster Brown said the Grandstand routine was typical after a long four day Fourth, with learning curves ahead for next year. Attendance comparisons to last year’s 125,000 figure are disputed as figures weren’t released then and much data was lost.
