Purple Cow Pie Is Born At Dan and Debbies Creamery
Dan and Debbie Takes operate a rural Ely dairy since 1997 expanding from 30 cows. Josie Rozum, their daughter and operations manager, explains Purple Cow Pie arose when a forgotten ingredient led to vanilla ice cream with black raspberries and pie crust mixed in. The family plans tours and a viewing area at the farm.
