Belle Plaine Woman Dies After Gas Heater Blast
Mrs. J C Wyman 81 of Belle Plaine died in a Cedar Rapids hospital from burns after a gas heater exploded in her home. Her daughter Mrs Helen DinnIe was seriously injured and hospitalized in Cedar Rapids. The explosion occurred about 6 am lighting the heater in the basement, blowing out foundation windows and tearing holes in the house. A small fire was put out by the Belle Plaine fire dept. Several roomers were shaken up.
