Kansas delivers reliable show at Coralville 4th Fest
Kansas headlined the Coralville 4th Fest at S.T. Morrison Park amid rain delays and soggy conditions. Robbie Steinhardt and Steve Walsh anchored the set with violin and keyboards while the band rolled from classics like Icarus and Dust In The Wind to Carry On Wayward Son. The veteran group played to a patient crowd, delivering the familiar Kansas sound without disappointment.

Marion adds 40 acre plot to land use plan
Marion City Council voted 6 0 to include 40 acres east of Highway 13 and south of County Home Road in the land use plan as civic uses. The move aims to support a 560 acre annexation and bolster Marion say in landfill plans with the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency. A second public meeting on the annexation is likely to address questions about a prior meeting.
