Government probes farm program bias in grain trading
Washington officials said an investigation into job lot trading at the Chicago Board of Trade found noncompetitive practices that may have harmed customers in grain futures during a study week in February. About 3 million bushels were involved with premiums and discounts totaling roughly 3500 dollars. The probe targets Civil Rights compliance and enforcement in education and agriculture departments amid broader concerns over discrimination and market fairness.
