Escapee leads Mount Vernon police on chase
Tyler J. Kelly, 20, of West Union, fled after ramming a Mount Vernon squad car in a pursuit that stretched from 10th Avenue SW through Highway 30 and Cedar River Road to Clarence. Williamsburg man charged with first degree murder
Cody James Stevenson, 29, of 905 North St., is held on a first degree murder charge in the death of an unrelated child. He was arrested earlier Monday on a willful injury charge. The child died later that day. Police chief Ray Garringer says the case remains under investigation with assistance from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
