The Gazette critiques Carter Harrison as a pompous and quarrelsome holiday speaker, calling him King Jackass. It notes his repeated demands for a sounding board, poor delivery, and mistaken claims about Iowa’s capital, contrasting him with Mr. Zdrubek whose address won praise.
