Dean E. Nelson 24 of Cedar Falls died at his parents home after living in Cedar Rapids a year. Born May 21 1952 in Olympia Washington he attended the Iowa School for the Deaf and the Community College of Denver. He worked as a commercial artist for Rath Packing Co and was a member of St Pius Catholic church. Surviving are his parents two brothers Keith and Tom and sister Susan plus grandparents. Funeral mass at St Pius in Cedar Rapids with burial at Mt Calvary cemetery. A rosary will be recited and a memorial fund established. Also listed are Frank J. Grand Champion Named In Fair Dairy Judging

Two Injured In Accident Near Cedar Rapids
A Cedar Rapids man Gregory J. Davidson 28 and a Phoenix Arizona woman Leigh Ragon 27 were injured Saturday around 4 p.m. when their motorcycle collided with a car on Linn County road W8E just north of its junction with highway 30 east of Cedar Rapids. Davidson in satisfactory condition with a left leg compound fracture Ragon in good condition with contusions and abrasions were taken to Mercy hospital. The car was driven by 18 year old Garry L Schwab of rural Ely who was unhurt. Linn deputies continue to investigate the crash.

Manchester Delaware county authorities ceased dragging Turtle Creek Saturday afternoon when a possible drowning victim was found near a park. They had been searching for Steven Hollingsworth's brother, 25, Cedar Falls, who drowned when his pickup left a bridge over Turtle Creek about 11 30 p m Friday.
