The American high commission in Germany said the Czechoslovak foreign office will release Jet Pilot Lt. Luther Roland from Hummelstown PA at the Czech German frontier at 10 am Wednesday. Roland and a Norwegian co-pilot landed on Czech soil June 8 during a routine flight over the U S occupation zone. He will be handed to American authorities at the Rozvabov border crossing.

In Decorah, Dr. Arthur Fritch en 55 was slightly burned when sewer gas from a floor drain entered his garage and detonated as he started his car. The blast tore the door and trunk lid, cracked walls, and ignited the car seat. firefighters extinguished the fire with minimal damage.
