DeJean advances toward NFL with Eagles after golf ties
Hawkeyes defensive back Keisean DeJean, soon to join the Philadelphia Eagles, fared well in a charity golf event with Ryan Palmer’s team earning second in the Celebrity Division at 29 under while Palmer’s group won the Professional Division at 35 under. DeJean, an All-American and Big Ten award winner, has three weeks left to practice before reporting for training camp July 23. He broke his right fibula in November, missing the Big Ten Championship and Citrus Bowl, but has been cleared to participate in rookie minicamps and OTAs as he works toward full healing and a spot in Philadelphia’s defensive backfield.
