We'll Be Back After Tornado Rips Through Linn County
A Wednesday evening EF2 tornado carved a 10 mile path across northern Linn County forcing the county fair to evacuate and topple a grain elevator. Doris McNamara, 80, was injured near Prairieburg while closing a door to basement shelter as four houses were declared unlivable and barns were destroyed between Central City and Prairieburg. Neighbors and volunteers aided in clearing debris and restoring order as mayor Arlene Holub expressed confidence Prairieburg would recover.
