Poll shows Cedar Rapids rebroadcasts draw limited viewership
A Gazette poll finds 9 percent of adults watched rebroadcasts of Cedar Rapids City Council meetings 11 or more times in the past year while 52 percent watched none. A majority favors rebroadcasting both public comment periods, and a taping change to limit comments was criticized as restricting citizen freedom. Also, 61 percent of likely voters back a one year local option sales tax vote on July 10 to fund pool renovations. Credit Rick Smith, 319-398-8312.
