Missing lowan may have been in Canada
A Waukon man missing since June 13 may have been staying in a Canadian resort community for almost two weeks. A ranger at Grand Beach Provincial Park near Lake Winnipeg saw a man matching Ronald Sweeney’s description. The driver refused identification and left the park before RCMP arrived. Authorities confirm the car matches Sweeney’s white 1991 Lincoln Continental and are checking the license plate to verify identity and location. The case shifts Iowa investigators to assess whether Sweeney is alive and voluntary missing.
