Cleveland School area sidewalk plan approved unanimously
Cedar Rapids City Council voted to approve construction of the sidewalk on the south side of First Avenue West from Cleveland Street to Edgewood Road and the north side from Edgewood Road to 29th Street. The plan may extend to 27th Street with a 500 dollar PTSA pledge and city cost share.

McMahon children injured in Vespa crash on West Post Road
Michael 18 and Mary 15 McMahon were hurt late Tuesday when a Vespa collided with a parked car after driver blinded by oncoming headlights on West Post Road SW. Michael in good condition and Mary in fair condition at Mercy Hospital.
