Pearl Jam Stars Testify on Ticketmaster Monopoly Hearing
Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard and bassist Jeff Ament testified before a House Governmental Operations subcommittee alleging Ticketmaster maintains an illegal monopoly over ticket distribution. They cited high service fees and lack of competition, noting a planned coast-to-coast tour would cap tickets at 18 dollars but was halted by fee practices. Justice Department probes continue as executives defend a highly competitive marketplace.
