Quality of Life study ranks states with California leading
The MRI study analyzes nine indicators across social, economic, political and environmental factors to rate each state on quality of life at a 1970 snapshot. It finds California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington, Oregon and Wyoming top the list while several states show low QOL tied to long-standing economic conditions.
