Dying at the Wall A growing issue for Vietnam remains
Gordon Castro’s cremains were left in a stainless steel box at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial after his brother transported them from Corpus Christi to be laid to rest at the Wall. National Park Service curators report a rise in remains and associated objects left at the memorial, with no clear policy on disposal or inclusion in official collections.
