The U S Education Department Office for Civil Rights opened a Title IX probe at Iowa State University over whether ISU promptly and equitably responds to sexual violence reports from the 2013-14 academic year. A complaint filed Sept 29 alleges discrimination against a female student who reported an assault. The inquiry, one of 95 nationwide, follows a June internal audit finding gaps in crime reporting and campus safety procedures at ISU.
