Former Iowa woman charged in kids deaths treated in jail
A former Iowa mother linked to the killings of her daughter and son was taken to a hospital for a preexisting medical condition before being sent for a mental health evaluation. Sheriff deputies declined to disclose her condition due to health privacy rules. The 50 year old Schenecker suffered a head injury and was moved from jail to a medical facility after midnight Saturday. The case involves Barker Schenecker, a U.S. Army officer, and the family home in Tampa where the shootings occurred in 2008.
