Mercy Iowa City joins University of Iowa Health Care network
Mercy Iowa City becomes University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center Downtown as about 1,000 Mercy staff including 45 physicians and 33 advanced practice providers transition to UIHC. The move aims for a coordinated region wide care system while retaining Mercy branding locally and addressing EMS and staffing challenges.
