Wheeler Seeks Halt to Lend Lease Debate

Washington AP Senator Wheeler of Montana charged Monday that five sixths of all U S combat planes produced in 1940 were transferred abroad to England and other nations even without HR 1776 and warned the bill would allow the President to give away the entire navy air force and military secrets to foreign powers. He said destroyers rifles ammunition and other gear were sent overseas while U S forces lack modern armaments and armor. The American Coalition addressed prepared remarks.
