Correia to abstain on votes over Johnson County ties
Iowa City council member Amy Correia says she will abstain from voting on city funding or planning matters that affect Johnson County social services. City Attorney Eleanor Dilkes said conflicts could arise if Correia, in her county role, identifies the city as a funding source or participates in joint city county projects. Correia joined the council this month and sought the opinion during her county job interview.

Ex-student charged in threats at University of Iowa
