City officials seek longer notice on school site plans
Iowa City district plans for an 80 acre northern Coralville North Liberty site to build a future 1200 student high school as growth spurs school expansion. The 12th Avenue road work connects Oakdale Boulevard to Front Street and will not finish until at least October, delaying school opening. Bids for the 2.3 million project are not opened until March, with five phases to keep the road open. Forevergreen Road also receives a 1.6 million upgrade this summer, affecting access near Highway 965.
