Doctor loses suit against IBP before reaching jury
U S District Judge Linda Reade ruled in favor of IBP ending the federal trial without jurors. Dr Brani mir Catipovic claimed IBP interfered with his employment contract at Peoples Community Health Clinic in Waterloo in 1999 and sought damages. The health department settled separately for 100000.

West Union residents report vehicle crash fatalities and abuse charges
West Union man George Hackman died after his all terrain vehicle rolled over near Turkey River four miles south of St. Lucas. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said the 69 year old died at Palm er Lutheran Health Center. A separate West Union man, Richard Thibadeau, 48, remained jailed on four counts of indecent contact with a child and one count of second degree sexual abuse with potential 33 year sentence if convicted.
