A 26 year old Omaha truck driver, Sidney D Harder, is hospitalized with fractures after his semi trailer mated with another truck on Highway 6 near Homestead Iowa. The crash sent him down a 30 foot embankment and spilled part of his peanut butter load while gasoline burned on the highway. Ray Lease of St Paul the other driver, was uninjured.

Two Trucks Crash near Manchester Injures Driver
Ice on Highway 13 caused a collision between two semi-trailer trucks eleven miles north of Manchester. Joseph A. Boisdore 36 of Oak Lawn IL was injured driving a Raytheon truck southbound after colliding with northbound truck operated by Howard E. Ott 19 of Arlington. Ott’s trailer owned by Alfred and Elmo Barrack of Arlington jackknifed. Boisdore was treated at Delaware County Memorial Hospital then Cedar Rapids hospital. Highway Patrolman George Ponsford and Sheriff Arthur Longseth investigated.
