Appeals Court narrows Killian widow's $2 million inheritance
The Iowa Court of Appeals split 5 to 1 to limit Jan Barbour Killian to distributions from John R. Killian's trust not exceeding one third of his $2 million share at his death on June 11, 1988. It strips continued remainder beneficiary rights and cites trustee discretion for principal and income. Chief Justice Oxberger dissented.
